Matulka, PhD, Director of Toxicology at the Burdock Group, examines the system that food manufacturers use to determine whether an ingredient can be “generally recognized as safe”, in connection with the FDA’s system of assessing such assertions.  Matulka posits that FDA’s system has worked for 54 years, is effective, and should be trusted among consumers.
