Virtual & In-person Hybrid FAQ

We hope that you find these answers to commonly asked questions to be helpful.  Please remember that decisions about any program that is at least partially in-person, are subject to change as needed in order to ensure the safety and well-being of our attendees and FDLI staff.

A hybrid event is one that allows attendees to participate in the event either in-person or virtually. Regardless of how you participate, you can expect the same content and opportunities to participate.

Yes, virtual attendees will be able to ask questions of the speakers, using either a chat function or live (using audio and video). Specific details will be sent to virtual attendees prior to the event.

No, although the majority of speakers will be in-person, some may appear virtually.

Yes, some sessions may be pre-recorded for both in-person and virtual attendees. Specific details will be sent to all attendees prior to the event.

Materials will be made available to both in-person and virtual attendees online. Specific details will be sent to attendees prior to the event.

Although the specific expenses for in-person events and virtual are different, the total cost incurred by FDLI is similar for both virtual and in-person attendees.

No, to both create a more interactive environment and for CLE purposes, recordings of the sessions are not included as part of the registration for virtual or in-person attendees. Some recorded sessions may be available for purchase following the conclusion of the event.

Yes, we understand your circumstances may change. To adequately prepare for the hybrid programs, changes to your attendance format must be made prior to the change deadline, which is usually one week. Deadlines for making a change can be found on the specific event’s webpage.

Hybrid programs will use Zoom Webinar for virtual attendees. Instructions on accessing will be sent to virtual attendees prior to the event.

Yes, CLE will be provided to those who attend virtually and in-person equally. Please refer to the specific event’s webpage for additional information for the amount and directions for claiming CLE.

FDLI requires that all in-person attendees who are not fully vaccinated wear a mask at all times while indoors. In addition, FDLI follows all guidance provided by the CDC, local government rules, and venue-specific restrictions. Specific guidance will be sent to all in-person attendees prior to your event. All FDLI staff are fully vaccinated.
