Membership Rates & Categories

FDLI membership is available to organizations and individuals. If you are employed by an organization eligible for membership you are not eligible for an individual membership. 

Organization Memberships

Manufacturer

Annual dues are based on the company’s sales from the previous fiscal year, defined as sales resulting from the manufacture of FDA- or USDA-regulated products.

Contract Manufacturer, Supplier, or Distributor

Annual dues are based on the company’s sales from the previous fiscal year, defined as sales resulting from the manufacture of FDA- or USDA-regulated products.

Law Firm

A firm with two or more attorneys engaged in practice areas involving FDA and related agencies, including but not limited to food, drug, biologics, medical device, dietary supplements, cosmetics, tobacco and nicotine products, and cannabis-derived products.

Annual Dues: $6,800

 

 

Consulting

A consulting firm, contract research organization, academic health center, professional service group, or any other business providing professional services.

Annual Dues: $3,750

 

 

Public Health/Patient Organization

A not-for-profit organization whose interests and/or constituency relate to the regulation of food, drugs, biologics, medical device, dietary supplements, cosmetics, tobacco and nicotine products, cannabis-derived products, or public health.

Annual Dues: $850

 

 

Association

Annual Dues: $1,700

 

 

 

Individual Memberships

Sole Practitioner Attorney or Consultant

A self-employed individual providing legal or consulting services who is not also employed by membership-eligible entities. An employee of a law firm or professional service organization may qualify only if they are the sole member of the firm or organization engaged in a practice area involving FDA and related agencies.

Annual Dues: $675

 

 

Academic

A full-time faculty member at institutions of higher education who teach, conduct research, or publish. Adjunct faculty may qualify only if they are not also employed by an entity eligible for FDLI membership.

Annual Dues: $225

 

 

Government Employee

A full-time employee of a federal, state, local, or foreign government agency.

Annual Dues: $50

 

 

Student

A full-time student enrolled at a college or university who is not also employed by a membership-eligible entity. Students must submit a copy of their current class schedule or other proof of full-time enrollment with their application.

Annual Dues: Free of charge with proof of enrollment

 

 

Emeritus 

An individual who is retired and wishes to continue involvement with the food and drug law community and support FDLI. This is a lifetime membership with a one-time dues payment.

Annual Dues: $550
