Why Attend?

Last Year’s Agenda
Location & CLE

Debate and public confusion abound about what manufacturers and retailers can and should say about the products we put into our bodies, often resulting in lengthy and time-consuming lawsuits or government actions.  Join FDLI for this two-day conference to network with and learn from leading practitioners and thought leaders in the food and dietary supplement industries, law firms, public health organizations, and regulatory agencies, all of whom will address the biggest issues and challenges in industry advertising, labeling, and litigation.

Call For Proposals

FDLI invites food and dietary supplement industry stakeholders to submit a session proposal recommending a topic for the Food Advertising, Labeling, and Litigation Conference. Topics should be at an advanced level and focus on recent activity in advertising, labeling, litigation, or related areas.

Submit Your Proposal

The proposal should include the following information:

  • Topic
  • Session description and other relevant details
  • Additional Information
    1. Format: Plenary, roundtable discussion, case study, or other?
    2. Audience: Food, dietary supplements, or both?
    3. Recommended speakers
    4. Is this session suited to a virtual audience?

We are happy to accept multiple submissions from the same person or organization, just fill out a separate form for each topic you would like to submit. We prefer submissions to include a reasonably detailed and thoughtful title for and description of the proposed session, and such submissions generally receive greater consideration for inclusion and speaking opportunities. For example, a submission entitled “Industry Class Action Litigation” with no further information is unlikely to be accepted.

Please know that FDLI truly appreciates your time and input, which we consider a vital component of creating high-quality programs. Thanks in advance, and please contact Steven Leslie at [email protected] if you have any questions.

Proposal Submission Timeline

  • May 15, 2020: Call for Proposals closes.
  • July 10, 2020: Those who submitted proposals will be notified of their submission’s status.

Additional Guidelines

  • Speaking opportunities are generally reserved for FDLI members.
  • Please keep in mind all submissions will be treated as recommendations, and proposals may be modified or combined to best suit the needs of our audience.
  • All submissions must be received through the submission portal.
