Join FDLI at the next virtual “Author Happy Hour” to discuss the Summer 2022 Update magazine article, “Legal Updates on PFAS in Products.” Two of the article’s authors, Judah Prero and Will Wagner, Arnold & Porter LLP, will lead a discussion on recent developments in laws prohibiting per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in food packaging, cosmetics, and other consumer products. With recent legislative and class action litigation regarding PFAS, companies that sell products containing even trace amounts of organic fluorine should be aware of these changes. Along with your peers in the food and drug law community, be prepared to engage in a dialogue on the topics presented in the article, all while enjoying your favorite beverage. He advises on chemicalmanagement laws and regulations, including laws under the jurisdiction of the EnvironmentalProtection Agency, the Consumer Products Safety Commission, and the Department ofHomeland Security.
WILL WAGNER focuses his practice on consumer product defense, regulatory compliance, and lobbying consumer product issues in California, with a focus on defending and advising companies on California’s unique Proposition 65 law. His experience includes defending companies against putative or threatened class action lawsuits based on PFAS, greenwashing claims, nonfunctional slack-fill allegations, and claims relating to the purity of a product.
